    The Swedish band Lazy Afternoon combines songwriting with a personal Tex Mex sound. This debut will sound great to the ears of Americana aficionados. “Our sound comes from many years of experience as live musicians and the love of various genres,” said bandleader Bo Ahlbertz. “We have picked the feeling and the stories from country, the groove from Tex Mex and a little attitude from rock'n'roll". The band consists of Bo Ahlbertz (guitar, vocals), Jorgen Ahlqvist (accordion), André Kristiansson (guitar), Stefan Magnusson (bass, percussion), Pontus Nordborg (guitar) and Mattias Svensson (drums). Founder Bo Ahlbertz is well known on the island of Gotland. During the 1980s and 1990s he was a musician in the bands Westerness and Patrask. His solo debut was released in 2013, and he formed Lazy Afternoon. This CD contains 13 new songs, in a catchy Americana sound, with influences from country, Cajun, Tex Mex, rock and Irish folk. Accordion and Irish bouzouki provide a special note. As singles 'Any Road' and 'As Time Is Passing' were selected. It is smooth, melodic music that is danceable and would not look out of place at a cowboy party.
